I believe in food as a means to health and love and happiness. I think anyone can cook if they are given the tools with which to be successful. I also believe that meal planning is the key to incorporating more home cooked meals into your life - plus the benefits of meal planning have huge impacts on our earth!

I have been dreaming about and working with food since I was 15. My passion has turned from restaurants to public education, but it’s still there. I wanted to create a website for real recipes - things for all occasions and without the b.s. Things that I ACTUALLY make as part of my chaotic, full time teacher, mom, and wife life. This is the first stage of what I’m hoping will be a larger platform for recipes and meal planning resources, but for now, I am just so grateful that you are here and that I can share my passion with you.

About my recipes.
I don’t believe in “prep” times. I list cook times for my recipes so you can somewhat gauge how long it will take you. But these days, my prep time is all over the place based on what the tiny human deems appropriate. I chop quickly, some people don’t. Prep time estimates simply do not provide an accurate representation of how long something is going to take each person.
I use classical dimensions of knife cuts. See my resources page for more information about knife skills and what exactly I mean when I say “small dice”
Many of my recipes are my own and some I have modified. I give credit when credit is due.
My “kids” recipes are usually based off of what my son has so-far approved of in his short but powerful time on earth.
